It's not a Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD). It's not a battery separator. It's a mixture of both. The system's enhanced features give it the advantages of both (and much more) without any of the disadvantages. After 7 years of research and testing, Redtech has finally found the solution to battery problems.

The PROteckTION system is a patented,100%-efficient product that will give you peace of mind by making sure your truck will always start. It will also extend the autonomy of all the accessories used when the truck is at rest and dramatically reduce roadside service calls.

The batteries required to start a truck are not the same batteries you need to use the truck accessories for several consecutives hours. The PROteckTION system allows the use of 2 different battery banks, with as much as 4 batteries per bank, on one truck and makes possible the recharge of all batteries (up to 8) with the truck's standard alternator.

Besides protecting each battery bank against a severe discharge, an intelligent controller monitors the recharge in order to optimize the work done by the alternator. Recharging 2 different battery banks is a very complicated process that cannot be performed efficiently with a standard alternator even if you have a battery separator.

PROteckTION offers a much smarter technology than anything actually on the market. Other products only cut the accessories electrical power, but it is not enough to take care of the battery problems. That is why the PROteckTION system integrates simple and revolutionary modifications to the original electrical circuits in order to optimize their efficiency. Besides eliminating costly inconveniences, the system can longer the battery life.

The PROteckTION system, that has been developed to handle strong vibrating motions and high temperature changes, works on anything that is 6, 12 or 24 volts. The system can handle up to 300 Amps, 12-volt DC circuits. It has a display device to communicate any relevant information to the user/driver and can issue auditory and/or visible signals to prevent failures.
